SCHMIDT Technology GmbH is headquartered at Feldbergstraße 1, 78112 St. Georgen im Schwarzwald, in the Black Forest region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The company was founded in 1938 by the brothers Hermann and Wilhelm Schmidt to supply high-precision parts to the clock industry, the typical Black Forest industry of that time. Hans Schmidt joined in 1952 and gave the small company the impetus to move into precision mechanics and writing instrument technology; Rolf Schmidt, son of Hans, joined in 1969 and led the transition from precision part machining to complete machines and systems. The Sensor Division was created in 1983 to produce a piezoelectric acceleration sensor used as the triggering element in automotive belt-tensioning mechanisms. Today the company is still family owned, managed by Oliver Schmidt (Technical Area) and Stephan Schmidt (Commercial Area). Its industrial business covers two lines: press systems including ManualPress, PneumaticPress, HydroPneumaticPress, ElectricPress, ServoPress and TorquePress machines with PressControl process monitoring and software; and flow sensors for cleanroom and pharmaceutical, laboratory, industrial process, burner and furnace, compressed air, sewage and biogas, heavy-duty and HVAC applications. The company also offers DAkkS-accredited calibration and factory calibration certificates. We supply genuine, brand-new SCHMIDT Technology products with selection support, technical documentation and stable supply.
